If you’re lucky enough to soon be heading to the land of longhorns and hippies for South by Southwest (you lucky dog), prepare for the glow of some of best and brightest musical talent to wash over you all week long. While there’s no such thing as too much of a good thing (I refuse to believe!), deciding whom you’re going to see at SXSW is no easy feat.
A game plan is a must as well as the tough decision as to which artists you are absolutely NOT going to miss. While you’re definitely going to want to put the big names like A Fine Frenzy, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Matt Nathanson, Slim Thug, Tegan and Sara, and Vampire Weekend on your to-do list, here are a few more we think you won’t want to miss and where to find them throughout the week.
Icona Pop
If you didn’t love “I Love It,” than you’re not a human. Swedish girl duo Icona Pop’s infectious, rave-inducing melodies are sure to be an unforgettable highlight.

K.I.D.S.
They may be a bit newer to the music scene (SXSW will be the debut of their live show) but we’re guessing you’re going to be hearing a lot more of this Stockholm/London combo very soon. K.I.D.S. has been working on their debut album in London since the middle of last year, and recently posted this video for track “Ragged Old Angels” – they’ve expanded to a full live set-up featuring ex-members of Ipso Facto and M.I.A’s band in preparation for SXSW.

Zebra Katz
With a name like Zebra Katz, you have to at least be interesting right? Especially if you’ve just been on tour with the likes of Aezelia Banks, Lana Del Rey, Scissor Sister, and Diplo. Top it off with Bjork in your fan club, and it’s a little more than a little likely that you’ll be a killer SXSW act. Checkout his breakout single ‘Ima Read‘, for a taste of Zebra Katz.
